18 years of age or older
U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder
Available for full-time service for one year

Living stipend: $24,962.35 for the year of service, or $957.46 biweekly.
End-of-Year-Benefit: Choice between Segal Education Award ($7,395) or cash stipend ($1,800)
Housing Stipend: $200 per month
Relocation Allowance: If relocating more than 50 miles, eligible for relocation stipend ($750 + .40/mile)
Other opt-in benefits: childcare assistance, health care reimbursement program, non-competitive eligibility for federal employment, student loan deferment
Please note: VISTA Leaders receive a higher living stipend of $27,364.05 for the year of service, or $1,049.58 biweekly.

In order to be eligible to serve as an AmeriCorps member, you must meet these requirements at the start of service:
Be at least 17 years old
Depending on the program, you must have a college degree or some college; high school diploma, or GED; or agree to obtain one while serving
Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.

After we review applications, we will reach out to invite you for an phone informational interview if we feel like your skills and talents are a match.
This is an opportunity for you to learn about our unique AmeriCorps programs in Prescott and Tucson and also ask a lot of questions.

After the informational interview, our partner sites then review the candidate’s application.
Second-round interviews are conducted by Arizona Serve staff, along with the supervisor of the organization hosting the AmeriCorps project. You will be asked questions by both Arizona Serve and the site supervisor, as well as have an opportunity to ask your own questions.

The selection process is a shared decision between our staff and our partner organizations. We typically extend offers within a week of second-round interviews.
